Teaser number two for Elemental, Chapter 28

 I looked back the way we came, searching for the origin of the noise. I thought I saw a separate darkness on the edge of the darkness of the forest, but wasn’t sure if I was seeing things or if this was the soul eater. The sour, nauseous feeling continued, prompting me to believe in the second thought.  

 As everyone around me moved closer together, trying to ignite some form of comfort, I centered myself and dared to reach out towards Earth for an answer.

 I was immediately thrown back as a wall of blinding white pain greeted me. I couldn’t tell if I was standing or falling. My body felt like it was encased in the dark nebula of the mind of the thing that was here to decimate all living things. My nightmares had only hinted at what this thing was. Maybe I should have been thankful for that form of mental reprieve as the reality was something so much more chilling. Something that was an accumulation of every horror movie or story that I had come across, something that didn’t understand the word mercy…and it was something that finally made me truly understand that it didn’t want to possess the Elements or even us that could wield them; it wanted us all gone.

 It wanted all of life to end…permanently.

Elemental News & a teaser for Chapter 28

 As a few of you know, my life has been extremely busy lately. I don't have the free time like I had before, but I promised that I would finish Elemental. I have also finished a side-shot in another character's POV. I will post a link sometime in the future for when it is ready. It will be out in December.

 I know you love a teaser, and I actually have two for Chapter 28.

Teaser for Elemental Chapter 27

 “After Esme finishes cleaning away the previous ritual, we’ll get started,” Carlisle said, glancing towards the circle.

 I followed his gaze and watched as it was only Esme now with her broom barely sweeping the floor, pushing small puffs of dust away from the embedded brick circle. When she finished, she continued to sweep towards the back door, opened it, and brushed out the dust before closing it, and laying the broom along the ground in front of the door.

 I had heard of the purpose of brooms for cleansing an area but never witnessed it in person. Esme smiled at me as she approached us, and I looked at her curiously, wondering why this method was being used now when it was never called for before.

Mr. Green from P.I.C.'s FanFic Corner recs Elemental

 Ah, so Mr. Green came knocking on my door, looking to borrow a cup of sugar. Instead of leaving the poor man to fend for himself, trying to bake cookies, I offered to go over and help. Well, somehow during the baking process the lighting turned soft and a camera moved into the kitchen. Before I could say "Edward"  the whole thing turned into an interview of Barbara Walters proportions!

You're right that sounds really damn lame and totally unbelievable...but it really did happen!

Well, Mr. Green did approach me, but he asked if he could interview me as Elemental was going to be featured on the P.I.C. FanFic Corner site.

Teaser for Elemental Chapter 26

FYI, this has not been beta'd. It might be tweaked, but here it is:

As I looked I could see the tiny ink symbols and noticed the pattern he explained. Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and they repeated another two times. The most interesting thing about the sketch was that the center was empty.

“Edward, shouldn’t there be someone in the middle of the circle?” I pointed to the blank area.

“Usually, yes there should be someone there. I think I need to show this to dad.”

Age of Edward 2010 Contest

The Age of Edward 2010

Chances are you remember this contest from the summer of 2009. It was a great success, giving authors old and new a chance to participate in a wholly unique sort of oneshot contest: writing an Edward from a particular historical era.

This year the contest commenced on August 15^th and will run until September 30th, at which point all entries must be submitted.

Winners will be announced October 15, 2010.

There are two categories: literotica and young adult (for those who don’t write smut and for those who do). Also, canon will be included this time, albeit judged separately from the AH entries.
